I'll be better able to judge after I return from Sudan but on the face of it, seems to be a well written and thorough presentation. Normally, I use Lonely Planet's guide though I used Rough Guide for Egypt and Bradt for Iraq. And I do like Bradt's approach and organization of material. They give a detailed picture of the country's history and are quite specific about current conditions. The book is more personalized than other reference books. A bit more than a compilation of facts. And I liked the maps. Recommend it.

I bought this book for my grand daughter, who is a budding artist. Since she was around six years old, she's showed a bent for drawing and sketching. In the past few years I've given her different books o sketching: how to sketch apples or oranges,how to sketch trees, how to sketch fairly simple objects.Now she seems to be able to move on to more complicated subjects. This book seems to fill that need very well. She was thrilled to get this book, and hasn't put it down since she received it.

My first "Art" -book and a good read. Would have rated it higher had the graphics displayed better on my Samsung Tab3. Also, that might be a function of the Kindle App not allowing for an enlarged view on my device. Overall, 4 star rating is the best i can do. Enjoy.

We keep the lines open by loving them without reservation but respecting their decisions. I LOVE the way Bruce backs her up & encourages her through the hard times. They have found their love & their faith is solid.The story is well written & flows so smoothly that you feel like you are there. As book 2 of the series, it could comfortably be read as a stand alone but you will enjoy it so much more if you read book 1 first.

I was so blown away by this story. Wendy and Bruce have come a long way in a very short time. Paige, Wendy’s daughter, has been a real challenge, but her mother hasn’t given up on her and neither has Bruce. They both love their kids as much, if not more than God. So far Wendy has been able to accept the issues thrown in her path. And there are some big issues. Bruce has been there for her at every turn. This story is so insightful. I think it’s a very important read.

Best book I have read in a very long time! How refreshing to read a romance between mature adults. This book is much more than a romance though. It deals with our relationship with God. It deals wth homeless and with family dynamics. It also deals with the impact in a family when they discover a member is gay. This book explores a mature romance but alsomany problems in our society and handles them in a Christian way.

I wish there were more than 5 stars to rate this story! I completely feel in love with the family, so much I truly identified with the mother as she dealt with changes in her family. It caused so many different emotions...but God is good all the time!

And again . . . she writes an amazing story that makes you want to be part of it!! Broken lives, amazing marriage, salvation . . . .this book has it all!!

This book was well written, couldn't stop reading. Loved it from the first page to the last. Would recommend these books to anyone, can't wait for book 3.

Love this brand for homeschooling. Make sure you check out the brand website to find out what numbers are associated with what grades!! They have changed the pattern of number to grade over the years and you want to make sure you are ordering the right grade for your child. Woul d also be great as a supplement to public school for children who are struggling with vocabulary, writing or reading comprehension.

my son hates spelling but loves words. with this he learns to spell and enjoys enlarging his vocabulary. it has definitely affected his scores on the sanford test. easy to use and break into daily assignments.

This is a very helpful resource for teaching vocabulary. If you schedule is too hectic to include discrete time for vocabulary, try using their website for the last 5 minutes of class. It introduces a word, gives definition, illustration, sample sentence, and then administers a 5 second quiz. "Which would represent a cylinder: a soccer ball or a garden hose? If you guessed garden hose, you are correct." The students cheer when they get it right. They love it.

I love how this program is set up so my daughter is learning how to spell but also the context and meaning of words. This helps her learn to use these words, not just blindly spell them and then never use them again. Very well done.

we homeschool and use this for vacab study. my student does one lesson per day (half a lesson if it is a long lesson). His vocab can beat most adults. he also is reading at a high school level and would be ending 3rd grade if he were in piublic school. His strong reading and writing abilities on testing is due to using this program mixed with a lot of reading of advanced books. if you child could use help in english or reading/ speaking literature I can not reccommend this program enough. We have been using for several years and will use with all other children as well.

These are great books for homeschooling. The child gets a lot of opportunities in each lesson to use each vocabulary word many times so they really get the meaning of it. Like they say... Use a word three times and you own it. A great learning tool.

I finally made sweet potato pudding! I am a Jamaican who grew up in the US. I also married an Italian man that loves his Italian food, so my Jamaican cooking skills are sadly lacking. For years I tried to make sweet potato pudding and failed! I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong! I followed every ingredient in my old Jamaican cookbook, but came up short every time! I bought this cookbook to make the famous Jamaican rice and peas, but was pleasantly surprised to see so many of my other favorite Jamaican dishes. One of them was the elusive sweet potato pudding ( my old nemesis). Rice and peas forgotten, I immediately scanned the contents of what ingredients i needed to get for my sweet potato pudding and ran into this little statement when I clicked on the highlighted sweet potato, "The sweet potato used in Jamaican recipes is light-yellow inside. These recipes are Not for the sweet potatoes that are also known as Yams in the USA and are orange inside". DAH!!! I was using the WRONG sweet potato all along! How stupid, how frustrating, how humiliating! Haha, I can laugh about it now but I felt very foolish for making such a silly mistake! Anyway, I followed the recipe and made the best sweet potato pudding I ever ate in my life! My husband joked and said " I've waited ten years for this! (that's about how long I've been trying to make sweet potato pudding and failing!) My point is this, this cookbook is awesome! it is well written and is filled with interesting details and is very informative. You cannot go wrong, it has pictures of most of the hard to find ingredients and informs you about them. The recipes are easy to follow, and with the proof of my sweet potato pudding, delicious. Next up, Stew Peas....

I am Jamaican and get asked a lot to cook for friends so I bought this book for them.. The recipe is way off I tried a few of them my self and it tasted nowhere near Jamaican to me

This book is phenomenal!!! It has all the pictures to each recipe to show you how the food is suppose to turn out. When I saw how easy the recipes were to cook and how well prepared the dishes were, I was ready to start cooking/eating right away. This is a great cookbook especially if you are wanting to learn to cook from different cultures. I usually do not leave reviews but, I was very impressed with this cookbook.

Doesn't get any more authentic than this. Honest and time proven recipes that actually work. Thoughtfully assembled collection of real Jamaican cooking, complete with foolproof guidance on ingredients and great pictures.

Well written with care, warmth and respect to family, true recipes, and explanations of ingredients and techniques. The only draw back is the limited number of recipes. I greatly respect the authors who have written this book with honor to family and heritage.
